Lead to Succeed Employment Program

The Lead to Succeed Employment Program is funded by Service Canada through the Youth Employment and Skills Strategy initiative. Lead to Succeed offers specialized support to individuals 15 – 30 years of age in exploring and developing a career path.

Lead to Succeed is a 15 week paid opportunity, consisting of 5 weeks pre-employment training and 10 weeks work experience. For the upcoming session, interviewing and training will be held on the Zoom platform online due to the pandemic.

Upcoming Training dates:
July 18th, 2022 – August 19th, 2022
September 5th, 2022 – October 7th, 2022
November 1st, 2022 – December 2nd, 2022

Training is 30 hours per week for 5 weeks. Training will be held on the Zoom platform for the upcoming session due to the pandemic.

  • Resume and Cover Letter writing support
  • Interview and Career coaching
  • Personal Development and Mentorship
  • Short term occupational certificate training
  • Job search strategies and support

During training, each participant will be required to work with with a job developer to explore their career path and organize an opportunity to gain work experience. Opportunities will align with the individual’s career goals with a placement in their chosen field or a stepping stone to where they want to be.

Placement duration is a total of 350 hours over the course of 10 weeks. This will be an opportunity to gain new work experience, expand professional network and potentially secure long term employment

  • 15 – 30 years of age
  • Unemployed
  • Not currently enrolled in school full-time
  • Not participating in another government funded training program
  • A Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or a protected person as defined by the Immigration & Refugee Protection Act
  • Have access to wi-fi to participate in training
