Below is a list of frequently asked questions and answers about BBNC (Birchmount Bluffs Neighbourhood Centre) and BBNC programs

Birchmount Bluffs Neighbourhood Centre is a non-profit organization housed within the Birchmount Community Centre building.

Some programs within Birchmount Community Centre are run by The City of Toronto’s Parks and Recreation division and others are run by BBNC. Sometimes we even collaborate on certain events!

The swimming schedule is administered by The City of Toronto. BBNC runs Aqua fitness classes that take place in the pool.

SHARE365 is a year-round poverty reduction program offered by BBNC. We strive to act as an avenue which alleviates the day-to-day struggles an individual living in poverty may face. This is attended to using a wrap-around approach based on each individual’s personal circumstances.

Support may be offered in the following ways:

  • 2-3 boxes of household cleaning or hygiene products annually
  • A box full of fresh fruit and vegetables twice a month
  • Subsidized fitness classes for overall wellness
  • Free programs for adult socialization
  • Subsidized Nursery School
  • Volunteer support and referrals to available resources
  • Skill building and training experiences that provide improved employment opportunities

We have made it easy for you to sign up from the comfort of your own home! You can register and pay for our membership online. Once your account is created, you can also register for any of our programs online. Follow this link to create an account and get started!
Our reception staff is also available during our hours of operation at to assist you with registration in person at 93 Birchmount Road.

BBNC has a long standing partnership with FoodShare Toronto. FoodShare has a vision of “Good Healthy Food for All” and BBNC shares that vision. We act as a Good Food Box stop for this community. Everyone is welcome to order a box of top quality fruit and vegetables twice a month – delivery is every other Wednesday!

The Following Boxes are offered:
Good Food Box $19 – Contains a variety of vegetables and fruit
Small Box $14 – A smaller version of the Good Food Box
Organic Large Box $35 – The freshest organic produce of the season
Organic Small Box $25 – A smaller version of the Organic Box
Wellness Box $14 – A variety of pre-cut fruit and vegetables
Fruit Basket $14 – Contains a variety of fresh fruit

Please note: contents of boxes will vary depending on the season. A BBNC membership is required to make orders. Ordering is available at the front desk.
